Observations:
After interviewing two males and trying to get insight on their perspective on college life I have come to some interesting observations about college life. After interviewing both guys I found out that people really do participate in other activities not only to get a job in the future but because they enjoy whatever they participate in. I found this interesting because I always thought that people joined clubs because they had too, not because they wanted to. Right now being a good college student isn’t good enough to get a job. Future employers want to see that you participated in the community in some way. After interviewing Student 1 I was happy to see that he participated in school activities purely because he loved it.
Before interviewing the students I had already predicted that they would have better relationships with their female teachers than with their male teachers. After interviewing both of them I found this prediction to be true. I didn’t really find this surprising. My opinion is that females are better at making relationships with their students because they are naturally more nurturing than males. This is definitely something I want to look into as I dig further into my research. I also want to interview girls and see if they give similar responses.
